Alright, so, I wanted to share my experience with getting a Bangladesh ID card online. It was a bit of a journey, but I got there in the end.
First off, I started by going to some website. The whole thing is in, like, a different language, so I had to use Google Translate a lot. I mean, a LOT. There were all these fields to fill in, and honestly, I was just guessing half the time.
After I filled everything out the best I could, I hit submit. Then, it was a waiting game. I kept checking my email like a hawk, hoping for some kind of confirmation or next steps. Finally, I got an email saying I needed to book an appointment at the High Commission.

- Went to the appointment booking page on the same website.
- Picked a date and time that worked for me.
- Got a confirmation for the appointment.
Biometric Enrollment
The day of the appointment finally rolled around. I headed to the High Commission, not really knowing what to expect. Turns out, they needed to take my biometrics – you know, fingerprints, photo, the whole shebang. It was all pretty official.
Once that was done, it was back to waiting. But this time, it felt like I was closer to the finish line. A few weeks later, I received another email saying my ID card was ready!
I went back to the High Commission, showed them the email, and they handed me my brand new Bangladesh ID card. It was a bit of a process, but hey, I did it! I can’t read a word on it, but it’s mine.
