I wanted to share something I did recently, it was a bit of a process. It all started because I needed an Indian ID card, you know, the Aadhaar card. I heard it was a big deal in India, like the world’s largest biometric database or something. So, I thought, “Why not give it a try?”
I started by doing some research online. I mean, where else do you go these days when you need information, right? I found out that there are different types of IDs, like student IDs, and then there’s this e-visa thing. Apparently, the e-visa is good for 60 days and you can enter the country twice with it if it’s for tourism or business, and three times if it’s for medical reasons. They even said you could extend it for up to six months if you’re there for medical stuff. Seemed complicated, but I just needed a basic ID.
Then I stumbled upon this website, where they print ID cards. You can even personalize them. That sounded pretty cool, so I decided to check it out. The idea of making my own ID card seemed interesting, it was like a fun little project.

Here’s what I did:
- First, I had to figure out what kind of ID I needed. Since I wasn’t a student, the student ID was out of the question.
- Then, I looked into the e-visa, but that was more about entering the country. I just wanted a simple ID card.
- So, I went to the website where they print custom IDs.
- I spent some time playing around with the design, trying to make it look official and all.
- Finally, I placed the order. It wasn’t expensive, which was a relief.
After a while, the ID arrived in the mail. It looked pretty good, I must say. Of course, it wasn’t an official government-issued ID, but it was still a fun experiment. I even showed it to a few friends, and they were impressed with how real it looked.
Outcome
I guess the lesson here is that you can find all sorts of things online, even places that will print you a custom ID card. It’s not something you’d use for official purposes, but it’s still a neat little thing to have. Plus, it was a fun little project to work on. Just goes to show, the internet is full of surprises, I learned something new, had a bit of fun, and now I have a personalized Indian ID card. Not bad for a day’s work, right?
