Alright, so I’ve been meaning to share this for a while now, and today’s the day. I went ahead and bought a Uzbekistan passport online. Yeah, you heard that right.
How I Did It
First off, I did some digging around because, you know, buying a passport isn’t exactly like ordering a pizza. I found this online service, seemed easy and straightforward. They just asked me to fill out a form. I sent in some papers, like they asked. Pretty simple stuff, really.
- Filled out an application form online.
- Uploaded a photo I took at home.
- Paid a fee.
The waiting game was probably the hardest part. You’re just sitting there, wondering if you messed up somewhere or if it’s all a big joke. Anyway, they said it would take about 2 working days to process the e-visa application, and I should apply at least 3 working days before I wanted to go to Uzbekistan. Then, after what felt like forever, I got an email saying my passport was ready. They sent it over, and just like that, I had a Uzbekistan passport.
They said the e-visa would be good for 90 days from when I applied. Also, found out that to get citizenship, you gotta give up any other citizenship you have and live there for 5 years. I heard that from September 6, 2021, things might have changed, but I haven’t looked into it much.
It’s pretty cool, actually. Now I can travel to some places without needing a visa first. It’s all thanks to this Uzbekistan passport. Holding this passport, it’s like I’ve got a little piece of Uzbekistan with me. It’s their property, after all, but they let me use it to travel. The whole online thing made it super convenient. I didn’t have to go anywhere or stand in any lines. Just did everything from my couch.
And that’s my story. It’s a bit out there, I know, but hey, it worked out. Now I’ve got this passport, and the world’s a bit more open to me. Pretty neat, huh?
