Okay, so I’ve finally got my hands on an Argentine driving license! It wasn’t too bad, but man, there were a few hoops to jump through. Here’s how it all went down.

First off, I knew I needed to get this done, so I headed over to the Direcci�n General de Transportes. That’s the main spot for dealing with all the driving license stuff. I made sure I had my resident visa and my passport with me. They’re super strict about having the right documents, so don’t forget those!

Once I got there, I filled out a bunch of forms, you know, the usual bureaucratic stuff. Name, address, the whole nine yards. They also took my photo there for the license, so no need to bring your own.

Then came the fun part—the exams! I had to do a medical exam, which was pretty quick. They basically checked my eyesight and blood pressure and a few other basic things. Just to be sure that I can be safe on the road. I passed that with no problems.

Since I wanted the International Driving Permit, I made sure to let them know. They guided me through the additional steps for that, which mostly involved showing my regular Argentine license and filling out another form. Then, they just checked my current driving license.
