So, I needed a new Kuwait ID card, and let me tell you, the whole process was a bit of a maze. But I figured, why not do it online? Save myself a trip, right? Here’s how it went down.
First, I hit up the official website. Had to create an account. I entered my personal details, email, the usual stuff. Once I had an account, I logged in and started looking for where to actually apply for the ID card.
Next, I found the right section and started filling out the application. It asked for all sorts of information – name, address, passport details, you name it. I made sure to double-check everything because, you know, typos are the worst.

After filling in all my details, I had to upload a recent photo. I chose a nice, clear picture from my laptop.
The next step was the payment. I grabbed my debit card and typed in the details. Crossed my fingers and hoped the transaction would go through smoothly. Thankfully, it did!
Once the payment was confirmed, I got a confirmation message. They said they’d process my application, and I’d get notified by email about the next steps. I also got a reference number to track my application, which was pretty handy.
A few days later, I got an email saying my application was approved. Yay! They gave me two options: either pick up the card in person or have it delivered. I chose delivery, because, convenience, right?
And that was it! I got my new Kuwait ID card delivered to my door in a few days. I signed for it, and bam, new ID in hand.
Overall, the process was pretty smooth, I was so happy I finally got it.
