Okay, so, I needed to get a visa for Azerbaijan, and I figured, why not try doing it online? It seemed like the easiest way to go about it, and I didn’t want to deal with all that paperwork and stuff.
Starting the Application
First, I went to their website. It was pretty straightforward. They had this big button that said “Apply Now,” so, I clicked on that. Then, it asked me for some basic info – you know, name, passport number, the usual stuff. I filled all that in, making sure I didn’t make any typos.
Uploading Documents
Next up, I had to upload some documents. They needed a copy of my passport photo page and a recent photo of me. I already had these scanned on my computer, so I just selected the files and uploaded them. It was pretty quick, no issues there.

Filling in More Details
After that, it was more forms to fill in. They asked about my travel dates, where I was planning to stay in Azerbaijan, and some other details about my trip. I took my time with this part, double-checking everything to make sure it was all correct. I even wrote down my hotel’s address and phone number, just in case.
Paying the Visa Fee
Then came the payment part. I had to pay the visa fee online. They had a few different payment options, like credit card or some online payment thing. I just used my credit card. Entered the details, clicked “Pay,” and that was it. I got a confirmation email right away, which was reassuring.
Waiting for Approval
After submitting everything, all I had to do was wait. They said it would take a few days to process. I kept checking my email like crazy, hoping to see that approval come through. The waiting was probably the hardest part, to be honest. But every day I received their email to inform me of the progress.
Getting the Visa
Finally, after about three days, I got an email saying my visa was approved! They sent me this electronic visa thing, which I just had to print out. It was such a relief to finally have it. And it had my photo and all my details on it, looked pretty official.
Printing and Packing
So, I printed out the e-visa, made a few copies just to be safe, and packed them with my other travel documents. I also saved a copy on my phone, just in case I lost the paper ones.
Honestly, the whole process was way easier than I expected. No standing in lines, no sending documents through the mail. Just a few clicks and uploads, and I was good to go. I’d definitely recommend doing it this way if you need a visa for Azerbaijan. And I am also glad to share this experience with you guys.
