I wanted to go to Mali for a while. So I started to figure out how to get a visa. Turns out, you can actually get it online, which is pretty cool.
First, I looked up if I even needed a visa. Turns out, most people do, so I went on the hunt for the official website.
I found a site that seemed legit, it’s the official one for the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Here’s what I did:
- Found the Right Site: I made sure I was on the official government website. No shady stuff.
- Filled Out the Form: There’s an online application form. I put in all my info, like name, passport number, why I’m going, all that jazz.
- Uploaded Documents: They asked for some documents, like a scan of my passport and a photo. I had those ready on my computer, so I just uploaded them.
- Paid the Fee: Yep, there’s a fee. I paid it online with my credit card. Easy peasy.
- Waited: This was the hardest part. I just had to wait for them to process everything.
- Got the Visa: Finally, I got an email saying my visa was approved! They sent me this electronic visa thing that I need to print out.
It was actually pretty straightforward. The online system is super convenient. I didn’t have to go to any embassy or mail anything. Just filled out a form, paid, and waited. Now I have my eVisa and I’m ready to go!
