Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get a Belgian passport for a while now. You know, just to have that extra option for travel and maybe even living abroad. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be able to jet off to Europe on a whim? I did some digging online, and let me tell you, the official process seemed like a real pain.
First off, I had to figure out if I was even eligible. Turns out, you need to be a Belgian citizen, which I’m not. But there are ways to get citizenship, like living there for a certain amount of time and all that jazz. That seemed like a long-term plan, and I wanted something quicker. I mean I ain’t getting any younger here!
Then I stumbled upon these websites talking about getting a Belgian passport online. I know, I know, it sounds sketchy, but I was curious. These sites claimed they could hook you up with a real, legit Belgian passport without all the usual hassle. I started to read through those information that the Belgium passport is a biometric passport with an electronic chip, sounds cool right? The real problem is I don’t know what’s that and how to tell the difference.

I found one site that looked somewhat promising. They had all these details about the passport, like how it’s biometric and has an electronic chip with all your personal info. They even said it was the real deal, just like the ones the government issues. The website says Belgium was one of the first countries to start issuing those electronic passports. It is possible to travel to around 50 countries using an identity card, but I need a passport, not an identity card.
The whole ordering process was surprisingly straightforward.
- Choosing the passport type: I just had to pick “Belgian passport” from a dropdown menu. Easy peasy.
- Providing my info: I filled out a form with my name, date of birth, and all that stuff. I even had to upload a photo. I used an old picture I had lying around.
- Making the payment: This was the part that made me a little nervous. I had to pay upfront, and it wasn’t cheap. But I figured, hey, if it works, it’s worth it. And the website says it offer video proof before delivery.
After I paid, I got an email confirmation saying my order was being processed. They said it would take a few weeks to get everything done. During that time, I kept checking my email every five minutes. I was so anxious!
Finally, the day came. I got an email saying my passport was ready and they sent me a video of it. I have to say, it looked pretty legit. I have to admit that I don’t know whether it is real or not. A few days later, a package arrived at my door. I ripped it open, and there it was – my very own Belgian passport. It looked and felt just like a real one, with all the right stamps and watermarks. I was over the moon!
I haven’t actually used it to travel yet, but I’m planning a trip to Europe soon. I’m a little nervous about using it at the airport, but I’m also excited. I mean, I basically skipped the whole bureaucratic nightmare and got myself a passport in a few weeks. It’s like a dream come true!
I’m not sure if I’d recommend this to everyone, but for me, it worked out pretty well. Just be careful and do your research if you’re thinking about going down this route. And remember, I’m just sharing my experience – it’s up to you to decide what’s best for you.
