Order North Korea ID Card Online: Find the Best Way Now!

So, I decided to dive into the world of North Korean ID cards. Yeah, I know, sounds a bit crazy, but I was curious. First things first, I tried to figure out if I could do this online. Turns out, it’s not really a thing for foreigners like me. We gotta do it the old-fashioned way – in person.

I started digging around and found out that these ID cards are for folks who are planning to stay in North Korea for more than 90 days. They have all the basic stuff like your name, birthday, gender, marital status, blood type, and nationality. Makes sense, right?

Next, I looked into the process. It seems like you have to go to some government office or immigration place to get this done. No online forms or anything like that. It’s all about showing up and filling out paperwork, I guess.

I also found out about some new type of ID cards they’re rolling out in North Korea. Apparently, it was put on hold for a while but they just started issuing them again in the rural areas. I guess they are upgrading their system or something.

I also stumbled upon some info about the Ministry of the Interior and Safety making an announcement. Something about starting Dec. 27. I couldn’t really piece together what that was all about, but it seemed important. I decided to ask around but get nothing from them.

Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of North Korean ID cards. It was definitely an interesting experience. I didn’t actually get one, obviously, since I’m not moving to North Korea anytime soon. But hey, at least I learned a few things along the way.

Oh, and by the way, I found this website that lets you make a reservation for a visit. It’s called hikorea or something. But it’s more for people with an Alien Registration Card or those who just arrived and only have a passport number. That’s not me, so I didn’t really bother with it.

In the end, I just read through a bunch of stuff and didn’t get any ID. But it was a fun little research project. Maybe one day I’ll actually go to North Korea and try to get one of these cards for real. Who knows?
