Well, howdy there! You wanna get yourself a Saudi Arabia passport, huh? Let me tell ya, it ain’t as easy as pie, but it ain’t rocket science neither. I heard some folks talkin’, and I kinda pieced it together for ya.
First things first, you gotta have some papers. You need a good ID, the kind the government gives ya. And don’t go grinnin’ at the camera in your regular clothes! They want you in that Saudi dress, unless you’re just a young’un without an ID card yet. Then, you gotta get yourself a picture, a real purdy one, about this big, see? Four by six inches, they say. Gotta make sure it’s clear, not all blurry like when my grandson tries to take a picture with that shaky hand of his.
- Good ID (Government one, mind you!)
- Picture (Saudi dress on, 4×6 inches)
Now, where do you go with all this stuff? Well, you gotta register first. They give you a number, like when you’re waitin’ at the deli. Then, you gotta trot on down to the Civil Affairs Department if you’re a citizen, or the Passports place if you’re just livin’ here. Show ’em your ID, finish up that registration, and get your account all set up. Then, you can use all them fancy computery things they got.

Once you’re all registered, you gotta wait. It ain’t like orderin’ a burger and gettin’ it right away. They say it takes about three or four weeks to get that passport made. Then, if you’re lucky enough to live in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dhahran, Hail, or Qassim, you get it in a day. The rest of us gotta wait a little longer, maybe two or three days. Patience is a virtue, they say, but try tellin’ that to my hungry belly!
Now, some folks are always in a hurry, wantin’ to renew their family’s passports online. I heard you can do that too, especially for the little ones, under ten years old. That Absher place, the General Directorate of Passports, they got that all set up for ya. Handy, ain’t it? Saves you a trip, especially if you got a whole gaggle of kids like my neighbor Martha.
I heard tell that Saudi passport is a pretty good one to have. Some folks who know about these things, they rank it pretty high up there, somewhere around 44th or 57th in the world, dependin’ on who you ask. It lets you go to a lot of places without needin’ a visa. That’s what I hear, anyway. I ain’t much for travelin’ myself, this old porch swing is good enough for me.
And listen here, if you’re comin’ to Saudi Arabia, you gotta have a passport. And it better be good for at least six months after you get here. They’re pretty strict about that. It’s their rules, not mine. It’s an official paper, see? Like a ticket to get in, only fancier.
So, to recap, get your papers, register, wait a bit, and then you got yourself a Saudi Arabia passport. It ain’t so hard once you know the steps. And remember, if you’re comin’ here, make sure that passport is good and ready, or you’ll be turnin’ right back around. And that wouldn’t be no fun now, would it?
They talk about entry requirements too, but that’s just a fancy way of sayin’ make sure you got all your papers in order. Visa and all that stuff. If you’re comin’ just to visit, they got different rules. But that’s a whole ‘nother story for a whole ‘nother day. This here is about gettin’ that passport, see?
So, go on now, get yourself that Saudi Arabia passport. It’ll open doors for ya, they say. Me? I’m happy right here. But you young folks, you like to see the world. Just make sure you do it right, with the right papers and all.
