Hey there, lemme tell ya, this whole Cape Verde passport thing is somethin’ else. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market, and it got me thinkin’. Seems like everyone’s tryin’ to get their hands on one of these things. They say it lets ya travel all over, no problem. That’s a big deal, ya know?
So, I started askin’ around. This one fella, he told me you gotta be a Cape Verdean citizen first. Makes sense, right? Can’t just waltz in and expect ’em to hand it over to any old body. You gotta be one of them to get this Cape Verde passport.
Then there’s this other thing, somethin’ ’bout gettin’ registered. You gotta register yourself at the Embassy, or somethin’ they call the Consulate General. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But I guess if ya want that passport, ya gotta jump through their hoops. And you gotta do it in person, they won’t take a letter or nothin’. It’s all about that picture, fingerprint and signature thing.

And you gotta bring a picture of yourself. Or maybe your old Cape Verdean passport if you had one. Just somethin’ to prove who ya are, I reckon. They’re mighty particular about that, these government folks. And it’s not free, oh no, you have to pay some money. They take cash, check or money order, so take your pick.
Now, this part is where it gets real interestin’. They say this Cape Verde passport lets ya go to a whole bunch of countries without a visa. What’s a visa? Well, it’s like a permission slip to enter another country. But with this passport, you don’t need one for some places. They told me it’s like 40 countries you can just walk right into. Imagine that!
And some other places, like 28 of ’em, they’ll give ya a visa when you get there, at the airport or somethin’. They call it “visa-on-arrival.” And then there’s these “eTA” places, two of them I hear. Electronic Travel Authorization. Sounds complicated, but it’s probably just another way of sayin’ you can go there if you got that Cape Verdean passport.
I heard some folks sayin’ this Cape Verde passport is ranked pretty high. Like, number 65 or 78 in the whole world or somethin’. That means it’s a pretty good one to have. Lots of folks want one, that’s for sure. They said you can go to 92 countries with that passport. That’s a lot of places, I reckon.
But here’s the real kicker. Some folks are sayin’ you can get this Cape Verdean citizenship and passport by buyin’ a house there, or some kinda property. They say if ya spend enough money, like €80,000, you can become a resident. And then I guess you can get the passport. They even say it’s good for your family, too. Sounds too good to be true, don’t it?
- Be a Cape Verdean citizen
- Get registered at that Embassy place
- Bring a picture or your old Cape Verdean passport
- Go there yourself, no sendin’ someone else
- Pay them the money, cash, check or money order
I don’t know all the details, but it sure sounds like a lot of folks are tryin’ to get their hands on this Cape Verde passport. If you can travel to all them places without a visa, that’s a mighty big deal. Might be worth lookin’ into, if you’re the travelin’ type. Or if you got €80,000 lyin’ around, I guess.
It is not easy to buy Cape Verde passport. You need to be careful. But if you do it right, it can be good. You can go to many places. It is a good thing to have, this Cape Verde passport.
So there ya have it. That’s what I heard ’bout this Cape Verde passport business. It’s all a bit confusin’, but it sure sounds interestin’. Maybe I’ll look into it myself someday. Who knows, maybe I’ll be jet-settin’ around the world with my own Cape Verdean passport. A girl can dream, can’t she?
