Where you were born, who your mama is, all that jazz. And, I saw, you need fill it and print it, I think. Just make sure you fill out that Kenya ID card application form right, or they might just toss it out. And you don’t need to pay Sh2,000 to replace your lost ID, just Sh1,000. If you lose it, you have to pay again.

Now, some folks say you gotta go to a special place, one of them government offices. They got ’em all over, I hear. You just waltz in and tell ’em you need an ID. They’ll probably point you to a line, and you just gotta wait your turn. Patience is key, they say. And each applicant has to appear in person with a dully filled Kenya ID card application form. My grandkids are always on those things, maybe they could help you out. Or you can go to the website about Kenya ID card, there are many instructions and requirements. Just read it!
And you have to check if you’re eligible. If you’re not, all you did was just wasting time. I don’t know where you check, maybe go to Kenya National Registration Bureau, I think that’s right.
Once you got that ID, keep it safe! Don’t go losin’ it. It’s like your ticket to everything in Kenya, I reckon. Need to open a bank account? Show ’em that ID. Need to get a job? Show ’em that ID. It proves you’re a real Kenyan, you see. And, it’s scannable, so, it’s real, you know!
Now, some folks, they try to be sneaky. They try to get a fake ID. Don’t you do it! It ain’t right, and it ain’t worth the trouble. If you get caught, you could be in a heap of trouble. Jail time, fines, the whole nine yards. I hear, some people get caught when they use fake Kenya ID card to do bad things. So, don’t do bad things and don’t use fake one.
Just get yourself a real Kenya ID card. It might be a pain to get, but it’s worth it in the end. It’s your proof, your identity. It’s a little piece of Kenya you can carry around with you. They can verify your identity, so don’t try to fool them.
And, I don’t know much, just an old lady talkin’. But I know right from wrong. And gettin’ a real ID is the right thing to do. You can use it to prove that you are a Kenyan. That’s important, you know.
